Manual for the Soul: Introduction

in #spirituality7 years ago (edited)

During the time I was developing the theory for this manual, I read a statistic that stated that Millennials are now the largest demographic that has ever existed in America, defining them as those between the ages of eighteen and thirty-four. I finished writing this manual a month shy of my thirty-fourth birthday, and so I found myself at the front of this age group, with a feeling that I have somehow found myself in a leadership role as a result. Observing the state of the world and the different energies going around in politics, religion, and other world and local affairs from this perspective, I find myself asking a big question: "What can be done to help change the world?"

Since we are now the largest demographic in the United States, and understanding that there is energy behind numbers, it is time that we start putting our energy to better use. And in a world full of distractions, consumerism, and screens that seem to change every five seconds, it's time to get back to the basics and understand what this game of life is really about. And thus, to clear up confusion and begin moving past the systems of old that have led us to where we are now, it's time to redefine a few things and bring these concepts into the Millennial's 21st Century.

The faiths, dogmas, and traditions of old have led to a current global landscape of war, opposition to our fellow humans, and a focus on the things that separate us. It’s time to release our egoic hold to the past, take an objective view at all the knowledge and teachings available to us, and distill them down to their finest, most basic form while making their essence able to be understandable and applicable to everyone.

In the age of superheroes and Harry Potter, the thing on everyone's minds is bringing magic back into the world. Well, I surmise that the only way to do that is to begin to clear the fog of ignorance and gain a little awareness about the true nature of reality. With such awareness comes enlightenment, and with enlightenment comes magic. The way to begin to do this is to stop focusing on the distracting illusion of separation, and move forward with our fellow explorers to consciously evolve together.

Who among my generation is ready to "take the reins" of this co-creation we call reality? Who will join me in beginning to shape reality into the world that we know it can be, rather than the world that those before us have created and continue to influence? A new age of enlightenment has begun, and it starts with a little more awareness.
