Option 1--This conflict has nothing to do with me, and I don't even know who is the "bad guy" in this scenario. It could be the guy hiding behind the logs, and the men shooting at him are defending themselves. Not knowing what, exactly, is going on here, it seems best to not involve myself in it.

We would loved to have helped the person being pinned down, but don't have any weapons. If we could have thrown rocks or something at the guys with guns then might have tried to help. So now the only logical option is to crawl away.
