RE: Poor Bubby, want a hug?

You mean those who delegate to @curangel get downvoted pretty heavily by the assholes?

I got a massive retaliatory downvote once from the professor because I had been directly downvoting his posts dozens of times. But that was the only time. I got several retaliatory downvotes from the unstable surfer boy but also upvotes. My delegating to @curangel has resulted in no retaliatory downvotes of any kind. @curangel gets all the flak as is by design. I haven't downvoted the biggest asshole directly or indirectly. First of all, it would've be redundant after his announcement. Secondly, he could've wrecked my account, too. The young fellow stupidly went after the biggest asshole after I told him that downvoting wasn't that dangerous - he wouldn't do it at all at first. Now his earning capacity is wrecked for good. Indirect solutions are a must.

Sort:

I have had about 20 100% from both accounts

Your rewards are so large as for you to be able to easily absorb downvotes like that in a stride. The young fellow is contemplating leaving Steem and publishing his content elsewhere. I've stopped giving advice to people here except on a general level. You can't know or control what other ideas they might have that could lead them to botch the execution.

He should post anyway. Cross post if needs be. Use tribes.

He should post anyway.

Would you if you knew you would never earn any posting rewards ever again?

Cross post if needs be.

I suggested he ditch his old account and create another one. It would be a trivial thing to send a memo to all his followers asking them to follow the new account instead. The old one could be used for shitposting to drain the asshole's DV power.

Use tribes.

Those tokens are nearly worthless. The young fellow lives in a third world country and is in a position of some financial responsibility. Steem income has been of quite a bit of help to him.

Yes, I would keep posting. In some way it would be freeing.

I know a few users earning hundreds of Steem worth a week after buying in or earning and concentrating their efforts on tribes.

Responsibility trumps preference.

There is no reason to be stupid about this. Just ditch the old account and memo all active followers in an encrypted memo and tell'em to follow that account. Very simple.

For the life of me, I just can't get it how unimaginative people can be at getting out minor trouble like this.

People like the drama.
