RE: SteemFolio - First participants

I have to admit that sounds very interesting and I' even more curious about the nature of the other cryptos you are into, would you mind elaborating on the ones you were speaking of with @tfeldman? I'd definitely be interested in participating, especially if the cryptos followed are along the type I would like to support.

Thanks for this amazing opportunity for us all and for your own contribution of Steem to the stake as well. Does it mean we also need to put in some Steem too and get a percentage on the pro rata of the total stake if we want to liquidate?

All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Sort:

I think overall it will be into all sorts of cryptos! All in different sections according to what their goals are and general development from my own judgement of what I read and re-search about them. I started off on this account with a few currencies but had to liquidate them when I went inactive.

Also different investments depending on how early and the risk factor (there are a lot of scams out there in the early development phases of cryptocurrency start-ups). I've had some good speculations in the last 4 years and it is a bummer that I never held on to the coins long enough, with this project that will hopefully change! :)

All currencies which I will invest in will be posted about after the purchase (this is to not give room for abuse, ex. someone reads I will invest in x coin thus goes and pumps the price prior to me making the purchase) while at the same time proving I am still holding the funds as to not abuse my posting power for myself (example, I announce that I recently bought coin x, random reader decides to make an own investment which pumps the price a bit which I could abuse to sell for a quick profit)

There will also be scattered investments where I purchase currencies with low volume little at a time as to not effect markets too much.

Its in the beginning stages but hopefully it will evolve into something easier to understand and entertaining to read along while at the same time raising the interactivity on the platform and interest in cryptocurrencies. :)

Great! So, do we need to invest actual Steem or Steem Power to allow for our account to be created?

Oh, my mind wandered a bit and forgot to reply to that.

I am currently creating stakes for active commenters on my posts only, might later start creating more and voting up comments in other posts too but for now the stakes represent 10% of the funds of the account, 50% which will be held in SP, 50% which will be invested and traded into others.

When the users decide to withdraw their stake it will be powered up as SteemPower on their accounts of the 50 % SP share and the other 50% of invested share. But the latter will only happen once every quarter so it doesn't give me too much work and it let's the assets sit for a while and potentially gain value over time.

So no, no actual investment needed except your time and discussion. A stake was already created for you with the vote on your comment. (this is all done manually for now :P)

Oh, wow! Thanks a bunch for all the information and the investment in the stake as well as all the work you are doing to make this happen. Now it is time for me to go back, upvote full % and resteem then. All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

No worries about the voting! Will be posting every now and then with small updates here and there, its just starting out and I don't expect to make much posting rewards in the beginning or at times like these where prices are pretty low. Hopefully the posts that will be a bit longer and focused more on the coins I will be taking up will reach more readers.

Thanks for the re-steem!
