RE: This is why I'm deleting my tweets with the tag #SteemHostileTakeOver

To address your first concern, why it was called Hive without any community input, this was done because of time. The idea was to create a fork quickly to move off Steem. I wish more time and input was available for this decision, but it is what it is.

Your second concern about Steem witnesses not running their witnesses for 13 weeks as mentioned. I originally planned to run mine for 13 weeks, as did a few. The problem here is even before the fork landed, the original top 20 immediately lost the top 20 spots, I was the last person in the top 20 for a while but eventually got pushed into the 26-28 spot range. At this point, we had no control to stop a hard or soft fork and had zero power to do anything. Many of us got a lot of shit for running a Steem witness after the fork from both sides. I stayed as a witness for a while, but eventually, I just gave up. There is nothing I can do on the Steem change to prevent any more hostile actions and changes.

For some reason, your post appears to be have been censored as you can only reach it directly.
