Please Do Not Make Me Stand in the Corner.

Something that should have been included in the article is the importance of a great headline. You can Google to find solid tips. This headline is a borrowed adaptation of an old-school mail-order headline for an ad that ran for years. Hint! Hint! It means the ad kept bringing sales.

In this age of instant gratification, media six-second visual and audio bytes, and hand-held electronic devices, You have about six seconds to grab someone's attention. For example, I seldom upvote short blog posts, but a mutual-follow Steemian, whom I view as a friend, wrote a humorous and controversial headline. It snatched me off my chair. Creating controversy is of particular importance for PR releases.

Your first sentence or two is displayed when your blog post goes up. You may have your reader with the headline, but what have you done for me lately? You have only another six seconds to hold the reader's attention. You have more time after that but be aware of the purpose of which you write.
