So Many Laughed When We Said That We Would Teach and Make Social Media Professionals on Steemit – Until Now. #TheUnmentionables

Mentoring is not a dirty word.

Have you ever watched a high-rise building constructed over time? Heavy equipment digs down for the laying of footers. Next are the foundation walls. There is a lapse of time before the framing of the first floor nears completion. The next stories go up rather quickly.

So many people come onto Steemit and never build a foundation.

Guess what happens with their account? People boast that they have so many followers. What is the quality of these connections?

One’s reputation is NOT that number. One’s reputation is what active and fruitful Steemians think of the individual as a human being and that person’s commitment to bring high value to Steemit.

The artificial, spammers and other takers get hung out to dry and blown away. Instead of a high-rise, the building is Blockchain. The Blockchain can endure some weak links but eventually, will replace them.

Social Media Professionals Have Written Values and Goals.

It starts with integrity. Professionals can easily spot integrity in others. Authenticity attracts when a newbie makes thoughtful and value-added comments on blog posts of those strong links. Networking on Steemit should start in this manner before one makes a hundred posts and wonders why he/she is not getting anywhere.

In professional marketing, one must brand him/her self or the company or both. In business today, too many top executives make themselves unavailable and hide behind walls. People want to see real folk. Part of that branding is a picture of the authentic person. If one can afford the investment, a signature boosts the brand.

Some people have a difficult time being authentic because of self-sabotage. We can end that for you. We have landmark applied psychology at our disposal. You just have to commit to following through. You also need to commit to serving, even if you have never done it before. Steemit is a community, and we are a vital part of that society; having a vibrant community of our own.

Please Do Not Make Me Stand in the Corner.

Something that should have been included in the article is the importance of a great headline. You can Google to find solid tips. This headline is a borrowed adaptation of an old-school mail-order headline for an ad that ran for years. Hint! Hint! It means the ad kept bringing sales.

In this age of instant gratification, media six-second visual and audio bytes, and hand-held electronic devices, You have about six seconds to grab someone's attention. For example, I seldom upvote short blog posts, but a mutual-follow Steemian, whom I view as a friend, wrote a humorous and controversial headline. It snatched me off my chair. Creating controversy is of particular importance for PR releases.

Your first sentence or two is displayed when your blog post goes up. You may have your reader with the headline, but what have you done for me lately? You have only another six seconds to hold the reader's attention. You have more time after that but be aware of the purpose of which you write.

pandas are very cute. ha! ha!

Like you mention in the post, authenticity goes a long way. Lots of companies come and go, but the ones that last over time always have authentic people behind them. Good work
