It's great to know that you're learning about the platform! There's a lot of information to learn, so I hope this series has helped illuminate some of the trickier parts.

To answer your question, if you're at 96%, you definitely have room to cast a few more votes! I mentioned that 10 votes per day is a good benchmark. If you're at 96, that means you can give out 8 more votes before your voting power will be down to 80%. Then you can watch as it replenishes back to 100% over the next 24 hours!

The moons thing is just the way steemd displays your age. It does indeed correspond with moon cycles or months. It's not anything important, I think they just picked that as a unit of time.
