The amount of Steem that is being subtracted from the reward pool per day is much higher. Can anyone explain how this works?

I would love to understand that, too. Until now it was just appearing to me that everyone started to earn higher rewards. Now your data show that this is actually the case. As the total 30d reward pool hasn´t changed in size then there must be less available for distribution in the coming days, no? It´s puzzling. Hope someone can elucidate us.
Also, my curation rewards trippled over night. Who are those who now earn less curation rewards in order to compensate my gains?
