Why Now Is The Best Time Ever To Join Steem

in #the100daysofsteem4 years ago (edited)

Why now is the best time ever to join STEEM? To give you the answer I invented the fictive user @skeptic-guy who asks me exactly that in an equally fictive interview, which you find below:

Start of interview:

@jaki01: "Hello, and welcome @skeptic-guy, just ask me whatever you want to know about STEEM. Lets start!"

Why STEEM, not facebook?

@skeptic-guy: "OK, great! My first question is: there are so many big social media platforms like facebook and others, why should I join a blockchain-based network which nearly nobody knows?"

@jaki01: "That becomes obvious as soon as you answer the question if you have ever earned one single cent for creating content on facebook?
On STEEM you get rewarded for posting, commenting and even upvoting other posts! You are being payed for writing and communicating with other users, you earn money for being busy with your hobby!"

Why CRYPTO and BLOCKCHAIN?

@skeptic-guy: "I have to admit that sounds great, but why blockchain, why crypto currency? Couldn‘t STEEM simply pay me some U.S. dollars?"

@jaki01: "A crypto currency can be send very fast to every user in every country worldwide, whereby you need not to pay any exchange (and in case of STEEM even no transaction) fees!
You really own your money, you are your own bank!
Blockchain offers the advantage that your precious content will be saved there forever and can‘t neither be manipulated nor deleted or censored by anybody (even governments)."

Why STEEM, not bitcoin?

@skeptic-guy: "Well said, but when I think at crypto at first Bitcoin comes to my mind. Why STEEM?"

@jaki01: "STEEM transactions are much faster and fee free! Just check here:

Furthermore STEEM is sent to simple user names instead of complicated crypto addresses.
Finally, don‘t forget that STEEM comes together with a whole community full of friendly and helpful people which are waiting for you!"

Why NOW?

@skeptic-guy: "Apropos community: I have been told that part of the community members recently have left within a community split. Isn‘t that the worst moment to join STEEM?"

@jaki01: "To the contrary, it could actually be the best. As some old leaders left, there is plenty of opportunity for new, motivated and engaged members to get some attention, assume responsibility, important functions within the community and occupy vacant positions.
This timeframe of change and renewal where everybody can become a key player within the community may not last very long.

Take that opportunity like a young tree which can grow much faster without the shadows of too many old and very huge trees! :)"

We know, we vote and we like to share the Interwiev. But the article from @jaki01 must now be shared periodically on Facebook, Twitter and other media. Otherwise he wrote it just for us. This is a task for every dedicated Steemian with social media accounts. Best together with the current rate of the STEEM.

Yes, everybody who thinks this 'interview' could be of use to increase the popularity of STEEM is very welcome to link it in their social media sites!

Dieses Interview sollte sich die Marketingabteilung von Steemit einiges kosten lassen ;-)

absolutely right chriddi !!!

Da hast Du den Nagel auf den Kopf getroffen.

Wenn's auf chinesisch ist ... :)

Very excellent idea and great invention of the interview!

I totally agree with you in every points, especially the following point which is also one of the main reasons that I joined STEEM; (apart from money! ;D)

"STEEM comes together with a whole community full of friendly and helpful people...."

And your last sentence is also my favorite…...“Take that opportunity like a young tree which can grow much faster without the shadows of too many old and very huge trees!” Well said!

As I told you before, “I believe in you”, and I'm very glad to meet you and your warm family in STEEM. Thanks so much for everything. ;)

Sehr gute Idee von dir das mal so umzusetzen bzw. aufzudröseln macht Sinn, und wie du schon sagst die Zeit war nie besser wenn ich mal schnell den Blick übers andere Ufer schweifen lasse ;)

Ich zitiere da nur: "Take that opportunity like a young tree which can grow much faster without the shadows of too many old and very huge trees! :)""

Am anderen Ufer sind die alten Bäume :-)

Hi @jaki01, like this idea to explain, people are really like that and having hundreds of questions, actually sometimes even then they remain skeptic :) Steem on!

People tend to miss opportunities because they prefer to do what they already know instead of trying something new.

I just decided to check my steemit account today after so many months and i think this interview has opened a new perspective for me, i guess i would become more active now

Take that opportunity like a young tree which can grow much faster without the shadows of too many old and very huge trees! :)"

Nice if I could motivate you again! :)

The Steemit Team
