RE: Grumpycat Wiping Out Innocent Minnows and Admits To Censoring Us! Please Help Spread The Word!

You have many valid points. Patreon is a safer network it seems for growing a genuine fanbase. While bots are sometimes abused by a few people, I still feel they're voluntary exchanges of currency. And to get downvoted for using bots often takes away what was spent out of pocket, not just profit. So it's like someone standing outside of a coffee shop and hitting down patrons food to the ground after they exit--- as a lesson not to buy donuts there?

And then the random downvoting makes no sense at all.

Everyone here agrees that Steemit needs more investors, but do they just expect them to get an account and then walk away??? No. They'll want to use their account.

Nothing in the FAQ says, "Warning. People with more money in their accounts are more powerful here and can and will use that power to consume your entire account."

When your bandwidth is done, you can't even login to get your own money.

It's a bit insane. And according the whitepaper, Steemit takes the position to not get involved in such matters. Ctrl+F the whitepaper for the word "crab"

Sort:

Eventually word will get out and when there are enough of them, the platform could find itself with an image problem and this is bad for business. Maybe that is the point at which Steemit will get involved.

Greetings!

Greetings. I think the secondary more subtle conundrum is that those helping save the new accounts from the bully accounts, don't always favor common business practice either and would rather it be like a social network where people all get a fair share for just existing.

Mentality One:
The reward pool is no ones so first/fastest/smartest to get it, wins. First come first serve competition.

Mentality Two
The reward pool is everyone's so everyone should only take the bare minimal or none and have their entire investment invested for the good of the whole community at large (including mentality one)

Thought provoking.

Mentality Me:
This is super weird.
