Throwbacks - Memories of my Swiss Holidays

Switzerland is one of my most favorite place on this planet, and there is no doubt to it. Yes there have been many more beautiful places that I have seen but still this place is etched in my heart. I have been to this Country around 10 times and still I do not feel enough and I feel that there is so much more to explore yet. I guess I have some past life connection to Switzerland and Paris. When I was a child and if someone would ask me which places would I like to visit then I had this instant answer, Switzerland and Paris and to be very honest I did not even know much about these places then. When I was a child, it was not a time of Internet and Mobile phones, whatever knowledge we had was gained from School and Newspapers which was quality news then and then there were movies, but in those times movies did not have international location shoots. I felt like it was something in my mind that existed forever.

My first job also was with a Swiss Company, it was Swiss Airline back office operations KPO. So much of synchronicity was like Universe bringing me to something by itself. From my job I travelled very frequently to Zurich and since I would be there for longer durations, I would take the opportunity to explore the place. Every weekend I would pick up one destination and visit there. After I left that job, for a long time I did not travel to Swiss except for 1 personal holiday that I made. Then 2 years back I again got an opportunity. Hubby had some office work and he took me along, and like that I made 2 trips again.

These pictures are some memories from my last holiday, where I visited Geneva, Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Vevey, Rhine falls and Montreux.

When I travel I make it a point to explore the place thoroughly, the itinerary is always packed. I do not like to move around very leisurely, I like to see as much as possible. It does get exhausting but at the end of it I feel good.

And that's my favorite dish, Cheese Fondue
