Yoga Adventures Around The World: Do It In The Window~*~

Everywhere can be a prime opportunity to practice or embody yoga!


DISCLAIMER: This is dangerous and I am not actually telling anyone to do it.


Health is really important because every facet of life is improved when healthy and diminished when not healthy. 



Movement/excersise is as we all know, good for health however one of the big problems people have with exercise is that its not fun and or they don't have the time. 



However when you live an adventurous life of play then there is no need to ever "work out" because LIFE is a work out!



I have written quite a few articles and spoken at conferences, festivals and events on health and yoga. I and many others have found it to be quite valuable. In this post I am sharing these photos of me doing "yoga" in a window. It was a great stretch and work out. It was also very fun. I didn't plan on it or do it because I ate to much chocolate cake the night before. I did it because the idea seemed fun and I like to challenge my body. 



As long as you do stuff like this regularly you will likely always be in great shape and maybe even more importantly have a child like spirit that doesn't die! 

Play keeps you young. So I encourage you to play more often, to run, climb, stretch or wrestle! You will be happier and healthier for it!

Yes I've been blessed to study all over the world, even at a university for yoga and ayurveda with the national champion of India...kinda surprised me that there was a yoga championship at all, but whatever.

To see someone live and breathe real, true YOGA as you do is rare. Most people I know treat it as just an exercise, but of course it's way deeper.

You shine the union of mind, body, and soul into masterful focus and control. It's amazing to see it embodied so fully!

Great photos in that post! I try to picture myself doing that and with my stubby legs I think I would only be able to span the width of a prison window lol. Inspiring none the less!

haha yes one would have to be VERY tall to do these moves in this particular window. Also window yoga is quite hard and potentially dangerous. This isn't really a practical 'how to yoga post" its more like look what you can achieve when you embrace the yogi spirit in all of life!

Now, I have to say that looks really cool!
I need to start yoga but not in a window... I am a HUGE clumbsy person and I can see myself ending somewhere below where I don't belong!

haha well we all are where we are and whats important is embracing our potential now and doing what we can now to enjoy and improve life.

Movement is very healthy but it doesn't need to be in a window, in truth it would not be very smart for you to try as it is very dangerous.

Just appreciate your body and use it!

That is beautiful man! I love yoga. For me it is about settling my turbulant mind. I suppose if it helps me get fit one day, I won't complain. 🙃

haha yes there are MANY benefits and one of them is getting fit! The more you move the more fit you get!

We struggle a bit to learn. We have to do everything online. Do you recommend a site or video for yoga practice?

Honestly I don't care much for "traditional yoga" practices. I am to much of a free spirit, however the postures are VERY good for you.
I am quite sure there are many good youtube videos and books out there to learn yoga. Here on steemit you can check out www.steemit.com/@saramiller she has been certified for a long while and shares yoga content here weekly.

You are such an inspiration @quinneaker , sometimes when i get to be in front of the desk for too long, i just put some music and dance...makes the enrgy run through your body much better...wish i could do Yoga like you though..thank you for being such an inspiration for me and for everybody!

Can yoga heal disk hernias?

potentially. It is quite complicated and there are many factors. If you already have a hernia or a slipped disk that needs to be fixed first with rest and healing. Though yoga can help prevent stuff like that from happening because the body is so much stronger.

I think it could! Go see a specialist or a chiropractor for some advice.
