Life Tip: Aim to Maintain LONGTERM FitnesssteemCreated with Sketch.

in #health7 years ago

One of the biggest mistakes people make whenever setting new health goals or new year’s resolution is to focus on quick results. Such goals as losing unwanted weight, or build lots of muscles quickly, while are good to have, it is important to plan just how much time and effort you are willing to put in. Furthermore, it is important to understand how much time you are willing to put into your goal in the future, one year down the road, or even 5 years down. If the current time and effort you are putting into your goal is too high, then this will make it harder for you to maintain this effort, and make it easy to cheat your goals! So it is important to first understand your own lifestyle, your own willingness, and your own definition of what health and fitness means to you, before determining just how much time and effort you need to put into a goal you have. When you be honest with yourself and plan for the long-term, you will be much more likely to stick to your fitness goal and get the results you want, although gradually. Thus in this sense the saying “slow and steady wins the race” does in fact ring true!

Hi! I totally agree with u! I have started to work out seriously for more than two years now. And i never regret it! I regretted that i waited so long to start. Now that i have started it... i became addicted to working out. Get your body to sweat. And it paid off real good. Ive lost around 15kg in the last 2 years. Still have a few kgs to lose... its a work in progress. But i am happy where i am today😉😉😉

Yup! We all have a natural instinct to form habits, so it's good to make working out daily one of those habits!
