Hello my dear Steemians,

The last you heard from us was the day before yesterday when we were preparing for our trip and finally today after taking overnight ferry we have arrived.

Everything so far went well but the day was foggy, no much rain and not really cold, the only trouble we had the North Sea was stormy and once we started there were waves crushing against the board and there were a lot of crunchy sounds till midnight. Every time it happened I thought about Titanic and the feeling that the ferry will fall apart, the sea is cold and I am not really good swimmer.

Therefore, first of all we have checked where are the safety boats and how big they are so that we can find the way.

So this time we could not sleep till approximately 1 or 2 AM but then slowly the storm settled and we fell asleep till morning hours. No more sounds, very peaceful.

In the morning we had nice breakfast at the table at window but we could not see anything, it was like milk surrounding our ferry. Luckily nowadays there is more modern technology and probably sonar that helps to navigate.

Nevertheless I decided to go out on deck and see how it looks like and of course, there were nobody outside

By the way, despite of traveling on 26th December there were not many decorations left from Christmas only that tree that I found and captured

Anyway, we finally back home and we will enjoy being here, our Fitness lounge, nice food and I will try to catch up on painting and finish my knitting

The fog is very dangerous! The ship's crew were professionals and your journey ended well!

Yes, first of all we check who is the captain, luckily there is a board with the name, photo but also the CV of captain, that is very reassuring. Sometimes he also tells ahead that it is stormy and warns about the noise. But I must say until now it was fine :)

This boat looks very loomy; the fog and the empty spaces. Spooky

Yes, it is spooky, especially lately there are not many travellers and of course all prefer to stay in their cabins.

a journey full of challenges when we are in the midst of storms and big waves. Anxiety clearly interferes with the restful sleep we hope for. 😊😊

Yes, the journey with a lot of Adrenalin but at the end it worth to do it :)

very cool ship. 😊😊👍👍

I enjoyed your journey story, and also laughed at your memories of the Titanic during the trip.

Thank you for reading, it is a shame that there are not many people lately traveling and from next year such ferry will be traveling every second day due to low number of passengers :)

Quite an adventure you experienced on the high seas :) @stef1 Christmas greetings!

Thank you for reading, it is every time a weird feeling to get on board but I am happy to get off :)

For me only being in a ship is an adventure. You are lucky to enjoy the travel.Even if it is foggy outside,i can sense a fear from your post but still being witness to such a situation is itself a different experience.

I know to be on board is wonderful feeling that is why summer is my favourite time :)

Respect, I could not be alone in such weather on a ship, creepy thought.😉 I like the sea but only in good weather. 😉 I think I would have slept in the lifeboats, better safe than sorry 😉🤣.
But glad you have solid ground under your feet again. Enjoy, the remaining days in the year yet. LG

I love see in good weather too, but there is not much choice winter is always stormy and high waves. That is why I love our trips in summer :)

I'll be on a ship like that in a few weeks heading over to the UK for my brothers wedding. Well, so long as Covid restrictions dont get in the way. Have a safe trip. Thats a pity the boat took down the decorations so soon after Christmas too.
