Here are all the answers to my BMI so you know all about my health condition. You said I should be honest about everything, I am, but I have not mentioned my real age.

1.- Okay, let me say I am 60
2.- My weight is 76 kg
3.- My height is 81 CM
4.- I am a male
5.- My waist measurement is 98 cm.
6.- I suffer from no serious illness?
7.- I exercise regularly, 5-6 days per week.

  1. There are no fixed minutes per day, but my average is 4-5 hours a week, which includes biking, walking, jogging, treadmilling, and indoor peddle biking.
9.- I generally do my workouts in the morning, but I do them in the evenings and even before dinner.

What do you plan to achieve through this training plan?

I guess if I have lived a trouble-free life to this stage of my life and am still kicking, I have pretty much achieved my goal.

Thank you for asking about something that has been one of my most favorite routines for decades. I started playing badminton, cricket, and swimming right from my childhood, and as I grew up, I added a couple of more activities to stay fit.

I would love to discuss all your questions as they come but with my own choice and preference. As I mentioned, I have done everything in my younger days, including running, playing games, horseriding, boating, and other exercises that help me stay fit and younger even at this point in my life. I can say they keep me fit and kicking.

Now my favorite exercise is running, treadmill, biking, and walking.

I am a fitness freak and do my exercises in different ways, but my favorite is walking, jogging, and running on the walking/running paths provided for this purpose.

However, before I start running or jogging, I do the basic and simple exercises for warming up.

By the way, I bike on these paths two to three times a week.

I often hear one willing to shed his weight, he looks for running as an option. In the beginning phase, one may observe a reduction of a few kg, but slowly the weight shedding comes to a grinding halt. In most cases, instead of losing weight, they start regaining weight. Why? Because they are not systematic in running or jogging or not following their dietary suggestion.

So if you feel to reduce fat running long distances is best and brings the best result. Your impression that the longer you run, the more calories you burn, is wrong. I am afraid that's not the truth.

The reality is something different. At a particular point, the body reaches a certain point when it starts storing fat. After the weight loss in the initial stage, the body stops expanding the stored fat to supply the required energy for running.

But wait, I don’t mean you should quit running. Don’t stop running because it is a great exercise that can add years to your life. But if you run for weight reduction, with a few changes, it can achieve the results you want.

What I suggest is to do your running in phases. But jogging, walking and tracking is not a bad idea either.

If your goal is weight loss, you would probably want to mix up the running with biking, jogging, or even a few other methods. That is changing the tempo of running and resting in between. That will cause weight reduction. But if you keep running at a stretch, no way.

I often opt for walking and walking in different ways, and if it is not possible to have a walk, I split my duration as per my convenience. I used to walk during my office, I took a walk during the lunch break. In fact, in the corporate sector, we are prompted to get relaxed for a better result in the business.

As far as I am concerned, I used a staircase instead of a lift. I always parked my vehicle in a faraway parking lot and walked to my office.

I mostly go to the park meant for this purpose. Running and jogging are not only exercise but a way of life too. At least for me, it is.

This is absolutely necessary to stay fit, especially in extreme weather conditions. In addition, to keep fit, it is also necessary to have a regular workout program. This is more important to keep your joints going with some light exercises, even if you are too busy to find time for the gym. Walking and jogging are good for a healthier life.

Now that I am getting older, I have bought a treadmill to stay fit no matter what the weather conditions.

You can keep fit if you run regularly or even if you walk at a faster pace inside your courtyard in case you don’t like to go outside. If you do not find time because of your busy schedule in the morning, I wash the car, which keeps me happy and fit.

When I was in a regular job and out on tour, I used the public parks that provided some good exercise facilities, so I always availed myself of them because I could not afford the high charges of a good gym for a day or two.

As you said, if you take good care to stay fit, it takes you away from the common cough and cold, as they may cause serious diseases that will become serious health problems in the future.

I often go and sit in the park opposite my house for meditation. Meditation: Peace of body and soul.

Meditation is one of the best ways of living a healthy and peaceful life. Meditation helps increase our brain’s strength, kindness, the feeling of love, and empathy.

Certain workouts keep you fit and kicking. But you should know what suits you best for your physical fitness and well-being. You should choose a particular workout program according to your own body requirements under a trained guide.

It would be worth mentioning here that according to most health experts, during meditation, the release of certain chemicals maintains and uplifts balance in your mood. Meditation thus works wonderfully well to save you from a state of depression.

Is there any doubt that problems are part of human life? But meditation definitely helps one concentrate on his activities, thus one finds a better solution to all his problems. One has to be regular with the practice of meditation to get the best result of this exercise.

Meditation also helps keep blood pressure under control and the heart in a healthy condition. By the way, people practicing meditation have found it helpful for healthier skin and looking younger than their age.

Nordic Walk I made this video a couple of months ago.

I trust in meditation because it increases the sense of mercy in humans and gives peace of mind because the practice of meditation helps increase the flow of the hormone serotonin.

Avoid stress which is one of the major factors as a stress-free life is a key factor that helps you stay healthy and trouble-free. Meditation helps concentrate and brightens one’s memory, and mindset.

Walking: A great way of keeping healthy and fit

I am a regular walker, and my walking is not limited to my morning walks but a regular feature for a long time. By following a few simple tips, you can get the best results out of this wonderful habit. But I suggest one must break his walking stint.

Reason: Short on time, you cannot go for a walk in the morning. You can try this interval training if it is not possible to have a continuous walk. You can split the total duration of your walking by various methods. If I don't find time, I wash my car, that gives me enough physical activity.

For that extra motivation, measure your steps. You can use bands for measuring your steps; besides, there are apps and smartwatches to keep a close watch on your progress. Knowing the progress of your walk will inject motivation.

Note: I am not a fitness expert but suggest you based on my own experiences, so consult an expert if you intend a strenuous fitness program.

Assalamu Alaikum @dove11. It's natural that everyone wants to be beautiful and healthy. You go through many steps to keep yourself healthy which I love. Like you, I know how to ride a bicycle, but I do it as a hobby. And boating is also one of my favorite activities. Really nice to see every step in your health, turning 60 and you are perfectly healthy, Masalla. I pay special attention to food to stay healthy. Hope to learn a lot from this beautiful platform and take care of health.

Thanks for your sweet comment and willingness to stay healthy and beautiful. Actually beauty is not only skin deep but an overall look. I wish you a great healthy life.

Hi, it's great that you already have some time doing exercises, meditation is great, sometimes I practice it because it is relaxing, one of my teachers suggested me to do it when I feel very stressed by school activities.

Exercising with the bike is also great, where I live sometimes the fans of this activity pass by in line. For your age you seem to be very healthy, I would like to keep fit when I grow up.

Have a nice day!

Thanks, I am fortunate because I mostly live in a country where we have separate walking, biking, and running paths specially designed for these purposes. As far as my age, anyone who takes care and time with a healthy living style can do it.

I can see how exercise keeps your healthy and stronger, your present is an encouragement to us teen. Keep doing what you best know. I enjoy reading your post 😀

During our teens, we had no screen or TV so we had nothing but outdoor activities that helped us indulge in physical activities. That makes a lot of difference.

Wow...I can see the spirit in you, you never slack back from exercise even with your old age. I believe you have benefited from exercise. This is interesting.

Age is only a number buddy. I have worked for the Indian army and had commando training so I can still handle a couple of guys bare handedly!

Wow.... you're really doing good.. 😊👍

I like the style of your exercise, they are so matured and refreshing.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful entry, it is of beneficial to me

Thanks for reading and appreciation! As a sportsman, I used to spend a lot of time on fitness in my younger days but my activity has been reduced to biking, jogging, and treadmill in the last few years. I am passionate about walking and have walked long distances for fun and even charity.

Oh wow that's interesting, I like walking as well but I usually feel some pains thereafter but I still walk since my work requires walking and standing.

Thank you for replying, I appreciate

Keep walking that will reduce your pain gradually and keep you fit.

Okay thanks I will
